1. The short version
The Course is digital content that is made available to you the moment you pay. Because of that, we ask you to confirm two things at the checkout before you buy: that you want access straight away, and that you understand this means giving up the 14-day cancellation right the law would otherwise give you.
[GUARANTEE ONLY - DELETE IF NO GUARANTEE] On top of that, we offer our own 14-day guarantee. It is explained in section 4. It is narrower than the statutory right, and it is ours to give - but we do give it, and we honour it.
2. Your statutory right to cancel, and why it usually does not apply here
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you buy digital content online you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel for any reason and get your money back.
That right is lost if, before the content is supplied, you expressly consent to it being supplied immediately and acknowledge that you are giving up the right to cancel. We ask for both at the checkout, on separate tick boxes, and we confirm them back to you in your order confirmation email.
So: if you ticked those boxes and we gave you access, your statutory 14-day cancellation right no longer applies.
If you would rather keep the 14-day right, do not tick the immediate-access box. Contact us and we will hold your access open until the 14 days have passed, after which we will release it. You will not be able to use the Course during that period.
3. Where you are still entitled to a refund, whatever you ticked
None of the above affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You are entitled to a remedy if:
• the Course is faulty - it does not play, materials are missing or corrupted, or the platform will not let you in, and we cannot fix it;
• the Course is not as described - you did not get what our sales page said you would get;
• the Course is not of satisfactory quality.
In those cases we will first try to put it right - repair or replacement. If we cannot, or cannot do it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a price reduction, which may be a full refund.
You are also entitled to a full refund if we charged you twice for the same purchase, if you were charged without authorising it, or if we were unable to give you access at all.
Not liking the content, already knowing the content, or not having time for the content are not faults. They are change of mind, and change of mind is what the checkout tick boxes deal with.
[GUARANTEE ONLY - DELETE THIS WHOLE SECTION IF NO GUARANTEE, AND RENUMBER 5-8 AS 4-7]
4. Our own guarantee
We offer a 14-day guarantee from the date of purchase. If you have worked through the Course and it genuinely has not helped you, email us within 14 days, tell us what you were hoping for and what you did not get, and we will refund you in full.
This is a promise we make voluntarily, not a legal right, and it comes with three conditions:
• the request must reach us within 14 days of purchase;
• you must tell us what did not work - one line is enough, but we do want to know, because it is how the Course gets better;
• we may decline where we can see that the whole Course has been watched and every downloadable document taken, or where a refund has been requested on a previous purchase from us.
Where we refund under this guarantee, your access to the Course ends and your licence to use the materials ends with it. You must delete any downloads.
5. How to ask for a refund
Email [email protected] with: the email address you bought with, your order number, the date you bought, and what has gone wrong or why you are asking.
• We will acknowledge within two working days.
• We will tell you our decision within 14 days.
• Where a refund is due, we will pay it to the card or account you paid from, within 14 days of us agreeing it. Your bank may take a few days longer to show it.
• We do not refund to a different card, account or person.
6. Chargebacks
If you think something has gone wrong, come to us first. Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us costs us a fee whether or not the claim succeeds, and we will suspend your access to the Course while it is being investigated. We will always look at a genuine complaint properly and quickly.
7. If we cancel
If we cancel your order, or if we withdraw the Course before you have had the access period you paid for, we will refund you in full or pro rata, whichever is the greater. That does not apply where we have ended your access because you breached our Terms and Conditions.
8. Your statutory rights
